This is a music video but I was particularly moved by the Lincoln Project’s video that uses Demi Lovato’s new song “Commander in Chief.” The combination of the music with the video images made me tear up and really think.

Kelly Clarkson piece by piece..sad now that she's split from her husband

Watch this if you need to check if you have a heart. Kelly Clarkson is 9 months pregnant here, performing on American Idol, which she won not long after being homeless. A 3 tissue performance when they cut to Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.

Wow. I'm so glad I wasn't PMSing or pregnant when I watched this. So touching.

This one was such a sneak attack. I mean you’re watching an American Idol reunion show for goodness sake. With some people/performers known to be pretty goofy. And then 😭.

omg so beautiful. tears!

We may need a spinoff for musicals.

Has anyone seen "The Waitress" written by Sara Bareilles? The lead role (low paid, pregnant, trapped in a relationship with an abusive man) sings "She Used To Be Mine."

Every time I watch this song I'm moved and depressed for 2 days.

Jessie Mueller is the original actress in the role, and this looks like a rehearsal. She is SO GOOD.

Give it til 50 seconds when it gets going.

Prine had already suffered so much physically at this point but was still performing. Sadly, he wound up dying from Covid.

RIP to The Singing Mailman, a wonderful human and a lengendary talented songwriter.

Love this thread. For me, it’s definitely anything by Eva Cassidy, esp. Autumn Leaves, recorded at Blues Alley 10 months before she passed away from cancer. She graduated with my DH and was a friend of his, and he still mourns her loss. She was amazing.

I was actually there for this show and this was a painful moment to watch. This was the height of trey’s addiction and it was apparent

I’d like the context. Was this their last show? Or is he just sad because Trey is so messed up?

Amazing performance. It's hard not to be emotional hearing and watching it.
