Charles Allen and Brianne Nadeau: "The shooter is the real victim here."
What happened? I didnt hear about thisand yes, if the shooter was under 25 thats what the Charles Allen law enshrines. The jjudgewill.not be allowed to consider the nature of the crime when the perp comes up for early release.

You have got to be kidding me? Covid yes, carjackings as a reason not to go to a fancy restaurant downtown? No.

a huge increase in gun purchases generally.
a lot of it is still about drugs (marijuana).
The way DC defined "Ghost Guns" is bizarre and by their definition there simply aren't any in the city. There simply aren't any DC corner men operating 3D printers in their basements with advanced polymers turning out untraceable weapons.
Guns in this city come from Virginia for the most part and Maryland a little less (Just look at the transfer records of any weapons in DC involved in a crime). The sad truth is that DC will never really solve it's illegal gun issue until it works with VA and MD. Which it cannot even collect a traffic fine from a MD driver so I am not sure how the city will ever work with VA and MD sensible gun law officials.
Illegal marijuana parties are large in the city. Whether you acknowledge the money and crime that follows marijuana or are too woke to assign a causality there, the cities MJ policy has done nothing to make its distribution within the city safer than it was and with social media, the parties attract people from a little wider area than before.
