Okay but the hospitalization and death rate remains constant (and low).
Simply not true. Look at any number of hospitalization metrics that are widely and readily available. The death rates are creeping up slower, and are a trailing indicator, and we do have better treatments, but even with all that it is not constant and on the rise.
It is the morons and deniers like this that undercut us rational folks, who try to make arguments based on real science and data, that some of these outdoor size/sport restrictions do more harm than good. Let the kids have some exercise and socialization in what is an extremely low transmission environment.
And my response to you:

Right. All that evidence showing higher infectious rates in MoCo and Baltimore Vs NOVA. And the absolute idiocy of thinking that any of the state governments have any substantial impact on infection rate vs a zillion more important local micro factors. But sure. We are all just deniers who just happen to be embarassing you with actually relevant facts. I suppose you also thought the Europeans were doing an amazing job as well. What we are all discovering is that the virus does not choose to infect based on how virtuous or abstemious you believe yourself to be. Doesn’t mean that we should not do our best to flatten the curve. But your kind of nonsense hurts more than helps.

Columbia Tournament
Yes, the stupidity that is Maryland has finally begun for the winter. Our team too - a local team in VA that can't play in a local MD tournament.
Is the tournament canceled or are out of state teams being excluded? I saw a tweet suggesting that Howard County tournaments with out of state teams were canceled.
They are trying to reschedule with just MD teams, but we’ll see if they are able to do it or if they need to cancel the tournament
Thank you for the information. As usual, confusion created by imprecise messaging. Rather than saying that the tournament is cancelled, the message should have said that out of state teams will not be permitted at any tournament
We are an out of state (VA) team and the tournament has still not answered our question about whether they are refunding our money. If the county thinks it is best to cancel for health reasons, that is fine, but we need our money back from the tournament. Hopefully the tournament will give it to us, but they need to pick up the pace on their response.
