This thread is awesome. I just spent 20 minutes reading suggestions that make me wish I had had less stuff, less clutter, and a cleaner house!

Try just dish soap. The vinegar isn’t necessary.

-keep an open basket style hamper in kids room. a three year old should be able to take off their clothes at night and drop them right in the hamper. But if it's down the hall or has a lid, forget it, it won't happen. Same for toy storage. Open bins look slightly less clean but are way easier for cleanup.
-second the 10 things cleanup or 5 minute family clean.
-robot vacuum has been LIFE CHANGING for us. Expensive but so worth it. I hate vacuuming and never got the damn thing out. We keep a small hand-held vacuum on the counter for small messes and run the robot vacuum downstairs almost every night. Little kids enjoying running away from the vacuum--make it a game that they have to get EVERYTHING off the floor and put away, otherwise the monster vacuum will eat it up! (you can also put googly eyes or other decoration on your vac to encourage this "game"
-get rid of stuff. We had friends who lived in an apartment half the size of ours but it always looked immaculate. It was because they kept very little by way of toys and clothes.

Make beds as soon as we get up. The vacuum is kept in the hall cupboard and everyone must vacuum their own room daily, even if it is a cursory 1 minute quick vacuum.
We wash all our dishes in the dish washer so our dishwasher is always running.
Laundry every day so that you are not dealing with a mountain of clothes to fold and put away.
Twice a day, kids and I do a 10 stuff pick up dash for a few minutes. It makes a lot of difference.
Fridge and pantry is cleaned frequently.
