Yes! These taste like soap

Is not. But, hey, that is your opinion. As a European I like American breakfast, just not all the time.

I really don't like most tomato sauces. I much prefer pasta with brown butter, or just a bit of olive oil, butter, and Parm.

Much of haute/nouvelle cuisine is a trite mess. Give me something delicious and real - Ugly Delicious style - not some precious micro greens tweezered over predictable ingredients swimming in butter.

Oh goody, the “eating meat is murder” poster is here to kill all the fun. Way to ruin a perfectly good thread.

Disagree. Also it’s pretty much the same as British. With a few tweaks.

This.

And I'll raise you and say no one needs to eat animal products, period.

Need to? Of course not.

Want to, because they're delicious? Absolutely.

Yep, and answer that perpetuates the selfish and entitled paradigm.

You're right. they are delicious. And they also have to DIE for your pleasure.

I hope aliens never invade this planet. You: Please don't eat me. Them: (in a whiny, entitled voice) But you're so delicious, I can't help myself...

And, frankly, this is what makes me so sick of all of the #wokeness. Save all the humans! Every life matters!

Oh, wait, animals? F**k 'em, they're delicious.

Hypocrites.

Ok. I bet you're one of those people who treats her dog better than her actual family members.

Nice deflection... Next.

Not a deflection. It's not some crazy mental gymnastics to come to the conclusion that human lives are more valuable than animal lives, although it's obvious that you disagree. And that's fine. Don't want to eat meat? Swell. But it doesn't make me a hypocrite to value a human's life over a pig's.

Next.

Try Alton Brown's stovetop mac and cheese recipe. No baking, no rubbery broken cheese.

I really hate grilling, and I don't particularly love grilled food cooked by others. Most people underseason and overcook when they're grilling.

I think meat should be eaten sparingly and with great respect. Especially in light of environmental strain. However, what about the circle of life? Are you going to go lecture lions about eating gazelles? Also, you better make sure you don't own so much as a pair of leather shoes or a leather-bound book, otherwise you're a massive hypocrite.

Ok, I'll play. What does "sparingly and with great respect" look like?

And I can't quite follow the line of thinking that compares lions eating gazelles with the way humans farm animals for the specific purpose of killing them... What we do is not the circle of life. What we do is wide scale murder (yes, I know the actual definition of murder - but what else is it?), simply because "they are delicious".

As far as other types of consumable animal products, I was not brought up this way. This is a late in life recognition and choice, so I do my absolute best to ensure that I am doing better every day in my choices - and at least I register that there is hypocrisy in my journey. All the people screaming how lives matter and then chowing down their KFC, rib eyes, or whatever? Sorry, that's hypocrisy.

+1. All shellfish is tasteless. It’s the preparation that might make it worth eating. But lobster is particularly bad and overrated.

Lobster especially is just pointless and expensive. Scallops, too. Clams are good though.
