All the conservatives that I know would happily ban all drugs with very steep penalties. Getting high is far more popular (and tolerated) on the left. Just look at where in the country drugs have been decriminalized.

My brother started smoking pot at age 13. He was dead at age 50 from substance abuse.

All smoke - cigarettes, cigars, weed - it all stinks. I don’t complain about my pot-smoking neighbors but I don’t understand how they can put that in their homes and in their bodies. But I guess they need it to feel good.
