Out of all my friends that have grown up playing video games only one has returned home with a degree in Game Design at a State University.

I always wondered how the kid stayed alive, let alone finished his coursework.

He stayed up until 4am EVERYDAY.

One never went to University(also stayed up until 4 everyday) but trains in some pretty awesome restaurants in hopes to own one himself. Not a failure just not traditional.

As long as they know how to manage their time, and participate in other activities they'll be fine.

As a result, I missed out on so many great movies, and for the longest time I had no point of reference when talking to friends- they would cite a movie and I would have no clue.
I still remember the embarrassment.
I think keeping kids away from games is not an option nowadays. Making sure they play quality age appropriate games in moderation is the way to go.

Keeping kids away from games was hard when I was a kid and all we had was Donkey Kong and Duck Hunt LOL

That is the only explanation. Couldn’t possibly be that there are normal parents out there who don’t think the PlayStation or Xbox are the devils instruments. That wouldn’t make ANY sense.

Today too. Just never gets old. Sounds like my grandmother talking. "you kids today and your addiction machines. Why can't you do normal things like go to town and get some penny candy from Old Man Schmidt's dry goods store?"
