Where did any man in here say that was slim and trim?

You do know those two guys pictured aren't linebackers, right?

Fixed it for ya.

I love him and don’t ever see myself cheating or leaving him over this - I just had to vent my frustration somewhere. The double standard between men and women is not fair. I don’t think he’s depressed. Just hates exercise and loves ice cream. Oh well.
There’s no double standard—just lazy, selfish, unhealthy spouses of both sexes. This is my wife, exactly. She doesn’t seem to care at all that she is borderline obese. I’m pretty fit, and only 5 pounds heavier than when we married 15 years ago. She is about 30 pounds heavier, which is an awful lot since she is 5’5”.
Of course there is a double standard. Men's bodies can be mitigated by money. Women are really at the mercy of the media (and other men and women). There are standards for both, but men have a lot more flexibility to be overweight and unattractive if other factors can mitigate that. Women in power are judged by their clothes, their hair, their makeup (or lack of make up), in general, their looks, their size.
I'm sorry your wife is overweight and you aren't. Welcome to life where nothing is fair.

BMI does not factor in muscle tone. For me, people look at me and are surprised by my weight. I am built like a linebacker, which means I do not look my weight.
Huh?! Almost all linebackers are fat. They have a big gut hanging over their pants. Yes, they’re strong — but they’re pretty fat too. It’s not a good look. Next you’ll be saying you’re not “fat” you’re just built like a sumo wrestler!
NP here. Linebackers aren't fat, but I seriously doubt this guy is not fat at 6'2"/260. Unless he is an absolute beast at working out and has a huge amount of muscle, he almost certainly has 40 pounds of fat on him.

Nah, that's definitely fat. People have tried to normalize being overweight because it's so common, but unless he is very muscular (and clearly he is not) that size qualifies as fat.
It is entirely possible for a man who is 6' and 225 lbs to not be fat. However, OP indicated that her husband doesn't work out - and that means he's definitely overweight. I am 6' and 195 lbs, do work out (though I should) do more, and definitely need to tone more and lose 10 lbs around the middle.

Sniffing your panties after you work out, puts me in the mood.
See that would make most women want to never work out again.
