Uhhh, it's exactly the opposite in China -- too many men and too few women. You know that there is cultural preference for boys in China-- which is changing a big, educated UMC women now prefer girls, but overall still a strong boy preference? There are a lot of men looking for partners in China and not getting them. Sociologists predict that it's going to lead to a lot of social unrest as there is a huge cohort of unattached, frustrateda and dissatisfied men out there.

Im in agreement with my body, my future, my choice. As a single mom i am only interested in raising a girl.

I have a girl and a boy now. I'm happy we have one of both, but if we have a 3rd one, I'm kind of hoping it's a girl because I don't know if I can handle another boy haha.

PP here. That is great that your children have been great playmates! My kids are twice as old as yours and they get along well, but I don’t think either would choose each other as their first choice of playmates. Of course, that probably is somewhat a matter of ages and stages of development for them as teens and tweens.

If picking required nothing more than being on the top for a girl and being on the bottom for a boy I would have picked if I first had a boy. I'd pick a girl for #2. But if picking required any kind of medical intervention, no way. Let nature take it's course!
