You don't know that the kids are biologically theirs. My sister has done embryo adoption twice, from the same donor family. She carried both girls and they are biologically sisters, but not biologically related to her or her husband.

I feel like grandparents sometimes have an issue with this with mixed-race or adoptive kids initially. I think they usually get over it but I've heard more issues of this than with the parents themselves.
