I've had a handful of conversations with them over the years and they both seem friendly/approachable, but I have never had a reason to email or text/call them. Even if I did email/call/text they could still ignore or forget to respond, so I would still probably try to catch them in person after practice or a game if it were something that my DD could not discuss with them herself.
The world didn't end for the coaches with their phone number listed? Crazy if true.

Looks totally trashy standing out in the middle of the field talking to coaches at training and sits on the bench with the team at games.

Imagine being a part-time employee and believing you are soooo important that your phone will be ringing off the hook at all times of the day because the number is in TeamSnap. LOL!!!
Oh the self importance.
What is even funnier when they don’t actually get called at all times of the day if ever beyond a text that a player is running late to a game or practice.
Coach here again,
While it hasn't happened to me, I have had other coaches get the crazy parent(s) who texts at odd hours of the day and has called / created endless emails over silly issues. Usually it gets resolved eventually - but it can be hell for a while. I could see a coach going through that and deciding in the future that it's just not worth it. You can text via TeamSnap without making your number public...
It's not about self importance. If that's your experience with coaches I'm sorry.
I know, I get it. Personally, my phone has never blown up with ridiculous TeamSnap messages at all hours. I can't possibly relate to getting a TeamSnap notification 2 hours before practice that the time has changed to a different field and a earlier time. Or messages about Johnny leaving his cleat at the field and did anyone pick it up.
I just can't imagine the struggle.
Awwww, poor baby, would you like a zoom call with that?

Those hurdles are probably too big for the PP who is struggling with the issue to overcome though.
No this is the type of nonsense U9-U14 coaches pull. Just put your damn number in TeamSnap. Why should anyone on the team have to ask for it?
It is just dumb when coaches do that.
Don't give up! You can figure out a way to find that dumb coach's number! Then you can tell him/her how dumb they are.
Or switch to a club where the coach lists his/her number in Teamsnap if you're too lazy or dumb to send an email or too scared to approach in person. I doubt the club you leave will miss you.
It’s just so abusive and oppressive that coaches won’t be available on their phone anytime we want. What kind of world is this? How will we ever survive without instant and constant access. Especially as they abuse our kids by letting them play together when there are so many things going on in the world. Oh the humanity.
It is none of those. It is just dumb that coaches don’t provide the information. It is laughable that they believe their phone will be ringing off the hook if they provide. Well, if you suck at coaching it might but other than that the coach just isn’t that special, they just think they are. Such celebrity the youth coach is. Email first or speak to the team manager before we talk about little Timmy.
It isn’t necessary but it is laughable and arrogant.
Clearly your're referring to your post
Not really. When I fill out TeamSnap I put in all my contact info. The celebrity a youth coach believes themselves to be is funny. They don’t have to provide it but they just look like a tool when they do. They might just as well talk about themselves in the third person too.
Oh well. Guess you'll just have to figure out a way to deal with all these tools who aren't providing you their number in Teamsnap.
Yes, I laugh at it. I just feel so blessed to be in their very presence and that holds me through the hard times. When coach even talks to me after a game, I’m just on cloud nine it is such a religious experience.
