Unless there are two students in MCPS with the same name and approx age, I taught the adult charged and am not terribly surprised.
At what school? He isn’t listed in the Whitman directory although his address is zoned for Whitman.
No, not Whitman. I won’t name the MS, but I had him in 8th if it’s the same person.

The obit/death notice for one of them was in the Washington Post either yesterday or Sunday. He was white.

Everything white kids do is just a harmless crime. That is the problem. I'm cool with it being considered a harmless crime if all the crimes black kids commit are also considered harmless.
I could endorse that, stop arresting kids for shit all adults did but were "lucky" they weren't caught.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:3 instances of racist graffiti at Whitman in 2 years. And remember the N-word passes in 2019?
That were authored and distributed a few black male students.

It’s crazy.
There were three tragic stories of kids committing suicide last week in MCPS. THREE kids! That is horrible.
People’s priorities are out of whack, for sure.
This thread attracts all sorts of attention and posts and calls to action, yet it’s just stupid graffiti.
You two are a trip.
Especially since we know that racism is one cause of suicides among students of color.
How do you know that the horrible suicides were students of color? I have not seen that in any source.
Suicidal affects kids of ALL colors.
I don’t even see a thread about that on here, but maybe I missed it?
