Why do you still hang out with those losers?

I only know of the ones that have gone bust. For some reason all of them it was the wife who cheated. 2 were younger, in their late 20's, left the marriage for the AP, that didn't work out, one has re-married, the other I'm not sure about.

Another wife - late 30's, makes double the salary of the husband, he stays home to take care of the kids while she is out partying and drinking. Recently she said she needed a weekend by herself at a hotel to unwind - he is oblivious, checked out most likely.

Another wife, again makes double the salary, the husband found out about the affair, caught her twice but wants to stay for the kids. She claimed she felt unloved in the marriage.

Another couple, they cheated on each other. Now divorced.

About 3 girls I worked with all in their 30's with kids went on girls weekends away and cheated. It was a regular thing they did.

In the scheme of things it is a handful of marriages out of everyone I know, there are probably more. I would say more marriages I know seem to be solid and faithful.

It’s not a successful blog. She’s a loser and could only keep it going about 1.5 years. Too f@cking lazy. The type that does not work, has grown/teen kids and her biggest complaint is she doesn’t have time to go to the grocery store. Very self-aggrandizing barf worthy intro, long and babbling on blog. Other than people that actually know her I don’t think people read it. Part of the reason she had the men drive to her house to screw her—too lazy to drive to meet them because then she wouldn’t have time for grocery shopping or her Stay at mom boot camp

I worked in an industry with lots of travel, and most of the many affairs were pretty widely known. I had the same question. I talked to one if the guys about it, and he said that his wife chose to look the other way. Being Mrs. Big Exec was her identity — so she put up with it.

I work in finance as well and this is spot-on. The guys always have a "marketing assistant" who they get an exception to come attend a conference with them.

It's probably about half of men, but that doesn't really tell you anything. It's like asking what % of the people in your circle make over 25k a year. In a nice neighborhood, almost all of them, in a poor one, a lot less.

I have a group of professional friends, in the law, contracting and finance areas, the tall, handsome, outgoing ones who travel for work. They all cheat. Maybe not all the time but they all have and would.

I have another group of friends from a small business I own. Quiet, introverted types. While I am sure some cheat, no one discusses it, no one is chatting up random women at happy hours, if they ever even go to one.

Men are, and have always been, about as faithful as their options.

Just curious: what have you seen for those men with working spouse? Any difference in cheating rates? Also, when you say you work in finance, does this mean finance people in large Corp. or something else?

It isn’t the SAHMs that are home with young toddlers. More the wives that are in their 50s and still not working. The ones with wives that have equivalent careers are more proud and respectful of their partners. If they are doing anything with anyone else, they are hiding it.

I also find it really distasteful when everyone knows the guy is having an affair and then he posts on Instagram photos of himself with his wife and how in love they are. I understand people have affairs but it just seems so strange to do that

Thank you for answering. This sort of reinforces my view that women need to be financially independent and not give up their career for a husband.

I believe that investment banking does have high levels of cheating. I was thinking about finance from large company perspective and I think sales would be worse in terms of cheating in a company like mine.
