Many top ECNL clubs left for DA.
Since the DA inaugural season, many of the top ECNL teams which left for DA returned to the DA
When DA folded, all but a few ECNL teams which left for DA came back to ECNL.
What is left in DA are a few former ECNL teams like FCV and Lonestar and Toohat
If you want to argue that the GA is the best for your DD the. Say that but don’t pretend that the GA is on par with the ECNL when the ECNL has the top teams in the country.
You can argue that the ECNL teams in NoVA are not strong but neither are Arlington and MU. All you have is FCV.
+1000 and the following:
FCV, Arlington and MU would join ECNL in a second if they were invited. I am not an ECNL parent and I know it.
GA is a tier below ECNL no matter how you want to look at it.
Lmao. Why would you care if you aren’t an ECNL parent. Who hurt you? Bless your little heart
Because my DD was looking at both the ECNL and DA. HS was always an issue for her so she ruled out DA. When DA folded and we revisited, we did the analysis above. GA is clearly the best non-ECNL league but let's not pretend that it is on the same level as ECNL. It is not.
Worry more about the quality of the team than the league.
And that is why GA was formed? Go away!

GA > ECNL in the DMV. Now if you want ECNL for your DD because it makes you feel good that SoCal or Texas is ruled by ECNL - go for it. You are as likely to play them as the GA teams are. Are GA parents excited that Olympic Lyonnaise Reign, part of the top international women's soccer club in the world, is in the GA? They are not here rubbing it your face cause that’s silly. We probably won’t play them either. But to each their own. You do you. Maybe you should move to SoCal or Texas and see if your DD can make ECNL there. How do you think that will go?
This is the third post I’ve seen mentioning OL Reign. What’s the big deal? Barcelona has an academy in the US and it’s a joke. GPS has a Bayern Munich partnership and they’re mediocre. Isn’t it just a marketing ploy?

In general DMV soccer is tame and a step behind TX or SoCal. The parents and coaches there are a world apart in their competitiveness and expectations from the DMV.
