Well, then they must have made a lot of money at some point to owe that much. Which seems to go against the whole argument that they couldn't have possibly been ever paid that much money by MTV. Like lottery winners, sports stars before them, they pissed it all away. Easy come easy go. But it wasn't 0.00% chance they never made the money.

They definitely make good money. The PP arguing so much about MTV salaries clearly never watched The Hills and doesn’t know how popular it was. There was huge ad money. That didn’t turn Lauren into someone worth 40M. I think she’s made many millions on her books, the fiction and others, all of her product lines, and years of endorsements. But I think the bulk of the money is from a trust fund.
