Yes, it’s disgusting to not wash the sweaty bits and those parts that go to the bathroom. And I’m not sure why you’re proud to compare yourself to those that smell?

We have a bidet. So our bits and butts are clean. Showering every 2-3 days

4 and 7 and they skip 2-3 nights a week. On off days I will sometimes do a 'neck down' and wash hot spots with the sprayer in the tub. As soon as it's warmer they'll be back to every day. I really don't judge or care what other people do and think there's compelling reasons to use less water for showering. However, I don't like when my kids' hair starts to smell like hair, and the 7 yo already gets stinky pits if he goes too long without showering (I just got him started using native deo).

Daily. It's part of her wind down bedtime routine. It's always been something she loves to do and calms her. If it was a struggle, no way we'd do it every day! Path of least resistance!

Hold the phone! Are you not using a bidet? Totally disgusting!

I'm sorry but ewe. I'm really disturbed by some of these posts. The "wash your hands" marketing all seems to make sense now. Americans don't understand basic hygiene.

Boys, 8 and 12...showering daily is normally a must. My kids love to shower.

Me too.

People with dry skin cannot bathe daily.

People with dry skin can and should bathe daily with cooler water and apply barrier lotion. I know. This was what a top dermatologist finally told us and it cured mine and my kids dry skin for good
.

This is really good advice. My LO has excema and a few other skin issues and is not potty trained. We bathe her at least twice daily between the shower or bathtub. The game changer has been that LO bathes with clothing on (100% cotton jammies) at bath or shower time.

At bath time, we add three cups of organic apple cider vinegar added to the water and never use bubble bath; we use very very little soap. We also rinse the soap off quickly at the end and only use soap for every other bathing. No towel for drying, we put her light layer lotion on and then dry 100% cotton clothes directly on afterward.

I second anyone that uses water time for a break, or calming. My olders take showers after going outside, as do I. We also have inside/outside clothing.

Regular bathing also helps to keep your house clean, surprisingly.

You bathe your kid with clothes on? Am I reading this wrong? Like you put your clothed kid in the shower or the bathtub? Do you put the soap on under the clothes or over?

I am very confused.

+1. I don’t understand why this should change.

Bath whenever they request for it but otherwise at least a quick rinse nightly.

Everyday. They don’t use soap necessarily each time but they are in the tub soaking after dinner every night. My DH and I also shower everyday.

Nearly everyday for 3 year old who loves baths/showers so it is an activity that makes him happy.

Every day as usual. It is just our routine and a good habit.
