And the notes and comments casting people (many of which were young for these jobs) made were SO NASTY. Some had fields for look and "body shape" that they would just write the worst stuff in.

It depends. What were the circumstances when those girls called you ugly? Were they being serious or were you girls fighting or arguing? Also, if the “everyone “ who calls you pretty are related to you, I’m sorry but those really don’t count.
LOL this response started as nice but then got so bitchy so quick.

ikr . Like eating a donut filled with tuna.
LOL is that a phrase? Or did you make it up? I like it.
That response reminded me of the time I confided in someone that I was called ugly as a kid and she said "Well, pretty people don't really get called ugly."
LOL, OMG that is horrible!
Plus see my comment about Cameron Diaz. She was called ugly as a kid.
I know. And I was only called ugly by other girls, I have been called cute or pretty by multiple men (good looking ones too!) so I really think it's fine. But I was like what the f, who says that?!
FYI getting compliments from men really doesn’t count much because they have ulterior motives. Just sayin. I notice that a lot on FB. The ugliest girls possible getting all these crazy compliments on their selfies but only from men. .
Men find them attractive. That matters more than what some competitive women think of other women.
Sorry I’ve always valued a woman telling me I’m beautiful way more than a man! She doesn’t have any ulterior motives.
I've been called beautiful by both men and women, ugly by women only (twice in my life, ouch), and "unattractive at first" once by a man (and I suspect others felt it but didn't say it). What does that make me? Everyone has different tastes I guess....
Well, being called beautiful by women who are related to you doesn't count. If men call you beautiful, that doesn't count either, because they have ulterior motives. So I guess you are ugly like me, who also has been called ugly by two women.Sorry. We can be uggos together I guess! lol. (I'm totally kidding)

Uh yeah. I don’t know if you’ve ever been set up on a blind date but what does it mean when they describe them as “cute “???![]()
It means they are cute. I don't know who you hang out with, but the people I know aren't mean enough to say someone is ugly, so they just don't say anything if someone is ugly and cute means cute.
right, cute is good. If someone was actually ugly they either wouldn't say anything or they would say "I'm not attracted to her"

Anonymous wrote:Once I was walking on U street and a man said to a woman walking by, a stranger, "You're ugly!" She was stunned. She just stood there, looking so hurt. I wanted to tell her that I knew that man -- he was mentally ill, and had once made a similar, unprovoked comment about my shoes. I wish I had told her that. I'm sure she's still carrying that scar around with her.

One time when my brother was delivering newspapers, a neighborhood boy in my grade gave my brother a dog biscuit to give me. Because I was a dog. I always dreaded Halloween because all through October I'd get told "Hey, take off your scary mask - it's not Halloween yet" and then on Halloween "wow you don't even need a mask to look terrifying" and all through November "Halloween ended - take off your mask already." One time someone (still don't know who) poured an entire aluminum pan of Elmer's glue over my head in class, and the class promptly took a poll of "Who thinks Lauren looks better with the glue covering her up?" and everyone raised their hands. As an adult, at work, two coworker and I were talking about marriage and one of them said "Well, obviously YOU'LL never be able to get married..."
I could go on and on.
OMG, I am so sorry for this poster. Hugs. People are seriously awful (look no further than some of the responses on this thread). Makes you wish karma were real....
Seriously. What neighborhood did you grow up in, the meanest place in America? Even if you were ugly I can't imagine saying that to someone's face.
