Spain! In early April!!

Headed to Grand Cayman in 3 weeks. Still planning on going. Is that crazy?

Do you think there will be hotels and even entire neighborhoods in the US put in quarantine?

This is one of those-you will probably be okay but will you bring anything home to family or coworkers situation. It’s a very popular tourist destination, so you will encounter lots of people from everywhere.

California and Hawaii next week just me. The rest of my family is staying in DC. Stay or go? I’m primarily worried about getting stuck in a quarantine situation.

Me too, but the only thing that gives me pause are the flights.

Yeah, the flights and airports but also you’re probably staying in hotels which have higher concentrations of people and you’re likely eating out more which poses its own risks. If you’re traveling, then you’re probably still visiting popular sites and attractions, so again, higher concentrations of people in a particular area. Going to a resort? That pool or hot tub had 100 other people in it today.

Definitely think this area is at risk, but there are more ways practice prevention methods.

Honestly, I'm not worried about catching the virus. I am concerned about being quarantined at a hotel in a different city for two weeks.

Yes, but is it really that different than people who are taking Metro, trains, and buses every day to commute? Personally, I would travel as long as I know I could drive home if necessary.

TBH city subways with people packed like sardines give me more pause than an airplane.

Yes. I agree with this as well.

Plus 1000. DC, MD, VA appear to be high risk to me due to high level of travelers. Rural Md, Rural VA low risk.

Yes. I agree with this as well.

Well, my two work trips just got canceled. Company now eliminating all non critical travel, including canceling all trips already booked. Applies to all domestic and international travel effective immediately.
