The second episode lays the foundation for the new plot lines, but it was still boring.

I can’t stand Bree’s horrible accent. I cringe when she says Momma and Da. And Roger’s double chin is very distracting.

As expected, no romance. Heck, J & C weren’t in any scenes together.

They shouldn’t have rushed through the books so quickly. They should have done more in Scotland. They shouldn’t have aged them so quickly. Plus: isn’t Jamie supposed to be in his 40s...why so old looking? And, they should have stuck with what works: romance and sex between J&C (nobody cares about R&B).


I have not read the books - was there more Scotland material? If so, drawing it out would have been a good idea. It was much more entertaining then. Now it's plodding, and even hot Murtaugh has to go and disappear.


Hot Murtagh? Now I’ve heard it all.

I know it’s a series of books. But if you want a successful show, then you need to focus on what people want to see. (And it ain’t Roger and Bree.)

Some people don't. I binged the first two seasons several years ago, before finally realizing that there were 8 books in the series.
The first few seasons were just recently put on Netflix, so there's a whole bunch of new fans around who don't know much, if anything, about the book series.

I don’t think Jamie looks older than 40s. I thought that they didn’t weather him nearly enough for an outdoorsman of his time.


Sam Heughan will be 40 in a couple months. There’s no reason for him to wear such a ridiculous wig that ages him so dramatically.

And last season when they were promoting the show, both of the main actors made a big deal about how the season wouldn’t have much sex “given the age of the characters.” That’s when I was like, “WTF?” 40-somethings still have sex...especially in the pioneer days before tv ;0)
