Get Off My Internet. Blog and message boards about annoying bloggers. It’s a super snark site (in a good way for us those who enjoy snark).

Thank you. You made my month, pp.
Is it really "in a good way?" Or is it just grown-ups bullying each other? I am a snarky, sarcastic person. I don't think there is anything wrong with a little snark among adults. But this site is way way over the top.

The "metaphor?" Yeah, I'm the one who posted it, and I'm not defending it.
Seriously, she is slurring her words (not just the Southern accent, but actually cannot fully form the words), and the cadence is off, and it's an absolute mess of a video. None of this is good. None of it.

It's clear that she has an undying need for attention. Having said that, I sympathize with her struggles with depression and yes, now with addiction. I wonder how serious she is about going the distance. I wish her well, but she is mostly too dramatic for me.
I don't know what made me think of Dooce today, but think of her I did, so I went to her blog.

Her most recent post is from August and it's sort of readable. There's obviously a lot going on in her head. I for one think she's still medicated in some way, whether it's alcohol or something else.
This is from her Instagram where she is allegedly celebrating 9 months sober:

She had a baby?!

GOMI has almost everything it mocks other blogs for. Secret alcoholism? check. Grifting off readers when your day job isn't making the rent? Check. Having a blog but blocking or being totally unable to deal with criticism directed at you? Alice used to read her user's site mail to one another and deactivate accounts based on what was in it. There is a subreddit called blogsnark that discussed all this and it was shocking (probably blogsnark has the same conversation about bloggers you're looking for fwiw).
Anyway, be careful out there.
