She might always look at that ring and think of you!
It’s really sad.
You got the better end of the deal OP!

OP - You do know that I realize all of this, right?
We don't, because you just posted about feeling terrible about it. You could have just told is your ex is engaged to someone else after just 8 months. Sorry about that. Your best revenge is to live life fully.
Well, yes, I do feel terrible about handing my ex money and him running to a jewelry store to buy his mistress an engagement ring, you know, with the money I just handed him. Eight months later.
She is no longer his mistress and you are no longer his wife. His life decisions should not be your business.

But I just learned that my ex-husband used a part of his divorce settlement (my money, basically) and bought his former mistress/now girlfriend an engagement ring. His cousin told me. We've been divorced for eight months. This stings.
WTF?!?!
Trashy/tasteless/low class/infuriating...but not unlawful.

$5 says OP’s ex was the breadwinner in their household.
Doesn’t really matter. Look I’d be drinking wine and laughing at those two. Shot gun wedding, baby. Let me know how that works out.
When did OP say her ex’s fiancé is pregnant?
She didn’t. But marrying 8mos after a divorce is ... rushed.
Who cares?
OP is better off. Her ex is better off. Her ex’s new fiancé is better off.
Stop acting like divorce is the end of the world. It’s the end of a legal relationship, but can be the beginning of so many damn good things.
Stop being miserable. Stop looking back. Stop wishing ill will on others. Be free.
