Honestly avoid APS for elementary. They are way too reliant on the ipad. We withdrew for elementary but will go back for middle school most likely. My kids were becoming screen addicts thanks to APS.

I suggest living near Old Town Alexandria and applying for private Pre-K and K at the many wonderful independent schools there.
