First Jewish mayor maybe.

Plenty of white mayors before Walter Washington.

I think Raskin is doing an excellent job and will definitely vote for him again. He is the voice of reason in Congress at the moment.

Oops! You’re ignorance is showing! Thank goodness this is anonymous, right, PP?

After being one of the countries leading constitutional law scholars, Jamie entered public service in his 50s. There’s nothing wrong with that. His wife was a high level mover and shaker at the Department of the Treasury in the Obama administration. An uber-DC power couple.

Sounds crazy demanding. How did they find time to raise children? Hopefully there was a relative able to be there for the children.

She had a top position, but was definitely not "a mover and a shaker" at the Treasury. She hosted "Take Your Kids to Work" Day and other similar events.

White privilege?

He’s Jewish.

He is white (and Jewish). Jews can have white privilege. Ask a Jew of Color.

What a lame lame thing to say.

Are you suggesting to see him is to know that about him? Privilege in this usage flows directly from skin color.

In any case, he's a big fish in an incredibly liberal small pond. Glad to have him, but no, won't sell in any bigger market.

Uhh have you seen his face?

I get there are Jews who can pass — he isn’t one of them.

I went to GDS with Jamie. What always amazed me, is that in a school where social life revolved around drugs, he never drank or smoked.

I don’t think Cardin will run again - he’ll be 80 - so that seat will be a free for all in 2024.
