I had a babysitter ruin a nice rug in our living room. It smelled like poop or pee and I could never get it to smell right again, so I just rolled it up and dragged it out with the trash. What a waste of money.

Same here. When nanny wrecks the furniture it’s time for a new nanny. It will only get worse. Our nanny “helpfully” put my DH expensive work clothes in the washing machine. Of course it wrecked them. Worst nanny ever.

But due to jeans?
Just let her know her jeans bled on the chair/carpet and you would prefer she not wear them again.
Get a cute throw and put it on the chair and rotate the rug or put a basket over it. Done.

There's something I don't get: you looked at her wearing jeans, right? Before you left your kids with her? If you didn't foresee this problem, I'm not sure why you expect she would.

I doubt her house is full of ivory rugs and fine white linens. How would she know it would cause a problem, if you did not?

Sorry, I can't stop laughing at ivory furniture in a kid's room. You are just asking for stains.

OTOH, I can see that it's annoying but surely, you knew your furniture was not going to stay clean, right? Also, how can you be sure it was her and not you or your husband's clothes?

You shouldn't worry about keeping nanny as with your attitude you'll be going through nannies like running water. Lord, you are insufferable!
