All of Madewell's jeans are too short these days. I can't take a company seriously when they make such a blanket, bad design decision.

I wonder how their demin sales will be in the north east and upper mid-west this winter if they continue this.

The debate on here about jeans ( skinny, low rise, high rise, bootcut..) is pretty ridiculous. Of course different jeans look better or worse on different body types. That’s a no brainer. But everyone here keeps acting like authorities on what looks good and what doesn’t.

And the other is plus sized. She actually looks the best. They are for her.

This is the OP-isn't that in part what this forum is about? Commenting on fashion trends? I don't understand the "leave other women alone" comment. How am I personally attacking anyone or being mean? Also, I don't care if other people wear them but I don't like feeling off trend/out of style, they are in style now and they don't look good on me so I naturally wish the style would change. Is that a terrible thing? If something is trendy or stylish and you look bad in the style isn't it natural to wish the style would change?

Also, I should have titled this thread differently. I'm not saying that they aren't flattering on anyone (as admittedly the title of this post implies-my bad). As I noted in the actual post, I think they work on women with hourglass figures. If you have a lanky, straight up and down shape like I do they don't look very good.

I’ve had this happen too. Anything is better than low rise though, which made me look way trashier than I needed to in high school.

Ultra high waist give me a stomach ache when I sit down (in a variety of sizes. I just have a hard time with pressure on my belly). I’m an hourglass, so low rise meant the I was always pulling up my pants. Mid rise ftw!

But if you HAVE a boyish figure and flat butt, the jeans on the right will just enforce that, whereas the ones on the left will give a more rounding illusion to a small and flat butt.
