I didn't like it at all, especially compared to the prior two episodes which were excellent and more fast-paced. Just felt anticlimactic and unfinished even.
Hated it. Definitely not ready to dive back into life in the early pandemic. Also who in the world would want to watch an hour of her sitting at a desk talking? Alex being brought back to the network has never made any sense to me - at the beginning of the show, the whole thing was that she was on her way out because she wasn't connecting with audiences anymore. Why in the world would the network demand she come back, give her $25 million to do it, let her skip down for weeks at a time, give her ANOTHER show, put her on air for an hour to just chat about being sick (while fully made up and not looking very sick), and so on. They would obviously have been trying out other co-hosts, not her, right?! What is the logic for that?
Ugh. I hope next season is post-COVID. I don't hate the thought of her being a surprise late-night success - that could be fun. Alex unleashed.
