A $42 dress for a 4 year old on sale for $21 is still a bad deal.

Disagree. My 4 year old has been able to wear the same dresses for two years in a row now (for the first time!). If it's a well loved favorite that she wears once a week for a few months per year, two years in a row, then $21 seems perfectly reasonable. My kid loves her HA twirly and rainbow tiered dresses and I can't find similar ones that aren't weird Amazon knock offs.

Wow! That’s amazing. It works size wise to wear two years in a row?

Don't your kids wear slips under loose low necked or flimsy shirts? I buy camisoles/tanks. I don't want my kid bending down and showing everything when she is playing.

OP here - so i looked up the slip - it was $36 (but i purchased 2 of them). I put them under her dresses. It makes them fuller and some of her dresses are not lined, so it provides comfort as an undershirt and light cotton skirt under her dresses.

It is just my preference to maintain some traditional ways to dress my daughter.

this is what i am talking about: https://www.hannaandersson.com/girls-clothing-underwear/51517-001.html

So basically the Laura Ingalls look.

OP here. That's mean. We are going for the Duggar Look.

I'm the PP who asked - I guess I don't buy my kids that type of shirt or dress and they haven't expressed interest in anything like that yet.

Nordstrom Rack also downgraded their policy, along with their staff. I hardly ever go in there any more.

When anthropologie changed their return policy, they honored the old policy (which was that you could return something from years ago) up until a certain date and if you purchase after that the old policy then you have to follow that policy which is now 30 days.

Then don’t buy it. Why do you car what other people do?

Why do you?

Really? I gave up on J Crew for myself years ago when the quality tanked and assumed the kids stuff was the same. You find it better than HA or somewhere like Gap?

PP here - I won't shop for myself at J Crew either, but the kids stuff is better quality! They have great sales so the prices are in line with Gap but they last longer. I also tend to prefer their styles over Gap and Old Navy.

That's great to hear, I'll give it a try then!

How's the quality of Crewcuts factory?

Crewcuts quality is hit or miss, in my experience. But agree with PP that although I've given up on J Crew for myself, the Crewcuts stuff I've bought has been great quality.

Above poster - sorry, just read a little further down the first page and see they told you the slips are not a quality issue. That stinks! If you really think it is, I'd push it.

I haven't read this whole thread, but I was just at Hanna and read the new policy while I was checking out. You left out a line that was on the bottom of the policy, I think those slips would be covered under this:

We stand behind the quality of our product. If you are unhappy with the quality of an item, just bring or send the item back to us and we will issue a merchandise credit for the purchase price or replace the item with the same style and size. Quality is specific to defects related to fabric, construction or trim.
