In most of my circles, as soon as couples get together it splits intro Mom group and dad group. Sometimes that's great, and sometimes I want to talk to the dads, too.
There is a reason for that. Women do not usually trust the woman who insists on talking more to a/the dad/s. Women notice, men notice - it is not a good look.
What a sad way to live. You can’t talk to other men in group social settings and are suspicious of those who do? Must be exhausting going through life so incredibly insecure.

Yup, she might be talking college football with the Dads.

So it's a better look to be a suspicious cow?
I get this a lot b.c I am a happily married woman who actually likes football. If I start talking to DH's buddies too much...all the wives start freaking out. Pathetic.

So true. I would take a $100K pay cut for a fit wife.
Very easy answer - use the $100K to pay for a personal trainer, nutritionist/chef, and plastic surgery.
I know someone who had a $20m buyout windfall. He graduated from (literally) Harvard law. The wife did not come from money, a SAHM with a B.A.. Anyone off the street would say "WTH is he doing with HER???" (ie: see your above comment - she could very easily meet your description). Clearly, he sees something. It's not for you to wedge your way in. She was with him before the windfall -okay, so they still lived in a nice house, in a nice neighborhood, where the houses are all pretty much equally nice -but you get the gist). She sends her kids to the top of the Big Three, and they seem happy. It is not for the resident cat in heat to say, really. Most of these women are after money they think you have, it's not your sparkling personality or rugged good looks. My friend owns half of that windfall, and her kids get the rest - she may not look anything special to you, but she's not stupid. C'est la vie.

Even if he had pinto beans at home, as is usually the case, there are a number of reasons a man would not act in this situation, including cowardice and the knowledge that divorce would be expensive for him and bad for his kids.
