How many times can a parent eat lunch with their kid in the year without it being weird?

I ate lunch with my kid in kindergarten a couple of times when I happened to be there for a volunteer activity. Kindergarteners are ok with parents being there. I was surprised to learn that our district allows parents to come eat with their kids whenever they want, and that there are parents who do this frequently. At least in our elementary schools, the kids sit together by class, so it's not like anyone is sitting at a table alone.

Our district also had to send out a note last year reminding parents that they can't send lunches to school via Uber Eats or other delivery services.

Kids who don't have friends aren't going to suddenly be included. They will eat alone for years. I know my kids aren't invited to things so I go out of my way to take them out and do special things so its not as hard on them. There are a few parents who deliberately exclude them and are super competitive, and we just laugh about it as its really bizarre.

Yes kids today are messed up beyond belief and we know 100% why that kid is messed up.

A lot of my friends go on their kids' birthdays. My kids have summer birthdays so I could never do it. I did drop off chick-fil-a for their half birthdays though
