LOL nothing! I watch that show every night on the Hallmark movie channel (except for times like now, when they are showing wall-to-wall Christmas in July movies). It’s relaxing, comfy TV. I don’t have to pay constant attention. It’s just like having a pleasant aunt in the room. And I enjoy seeing the hairstyles and clothes from my younger days!

Someone on the first page mentioned Eight is Enough. I loved that show but was thinking it was more of a '70s show. I went so far as to look it up, and it ended in 1981, so it fits here. I remember reading an obit about the guy whose book it was based on and was surprised to see he lived much of his adult life in the DC area, possibly Bethesda.

Tom Braden. The family lived in Chevy Chase, off Brookville Road.
