A healthier approach would be to figure out a way to move away from this area to find a place to be happy. Or figure out a way to be happy here if you can't leave. But, whatever you do, keep your passive aggression away from those of us who like to live here and consider it home.

White, 39, lived here 15 years. I've heard this term since I moved here and thought it was common til I read this. My work and social crowd is mostly black and white, all transplants (the horror! Immigrants!) and I've never understood this term to have any racial context.

I grew up in this area (been here 40+ years) and never heard the term DMV until fairly recently and never use that term. To me the DMV is the Department of Motor Vehicles.
