This is the most conservative district in the country, so not flippable. What’s worrisome is that Thornberry wasn’t slavishly devoted to Trump (spoke out against moving funds from defense to the wall, for example) and his replacement certainly will be.

Another Republican member of Texas’s congressional delegation is hanging it up. First elected in 1994. Ranking member on the Armed Services Committee.

Issa is definitely primarying indicted Republican incumbent Duncan Hunter, according to Kathleen Ronayne at the AP.
