Subject: How terrible will it be to be away from my 1 year old daughter at Christmas? I am regretting things
Why don’t you shorten the trip. How much time can you spend with family before people are getting g on one another’s nerves?

+1. I’d be more worried if my spouse were indifferent that I’d be gone for Christmas than if they were mad.

I told her when she got home that I feel like I'm in kind of a lose-lose situation:
If I go without her, I'll miss her and our daughter and be unhappy that they didn't get to be a part of the big gathering
If she goes after I insist/pressure her, anything that goes wrong (cancelled flights, etc) will be my fault
She says that she feels the same way
So I guess I will just drop the issue and try to have fun without them
You should cancel the trip and spend Christmas with your family. The fact that you can’t see this tells me your marriage is a goner. Your poor wife.

Dp. Sounds like she would rather be with her family. Maybe she doesnt like bring around them that much. Traveling with a one year old does not sound like fun.

Yeah people explained that 13 months is not an easy travel age
We will just have to celebrate Christmas early
It's not my ideal plan to go alone but I couldn't miss it either

OP, a trip one month from now, when your baby is what, 7 months old, will be NO barometer for what a trip with a 13-month-old might be like. It totally depends on your child's temperament, but both of my boys were walking at 9-10 months, and were very unhappy to be restrained/unable to crawl around on the floor by 5 months (first) and 7 months (second).
