Y'all need to get ready. We are about to get slammed by a bunch of male graduating college students, straight and gay, who wear sweatpants and joggers that look exactly like the picture. It is all I see when I go to campuses these days to see our kids.

Funny story. one of our college boys asked for sweat pants like the picture for his birthday. We were having a family dinner and we had friends with us who are a gay. When our kid held up the joggers after opening a package, one of the friends coughed and gurgled. We all looked at him. After a second his husband kind of laughed and said something like those pants are so gay that even a gay man won't wear them! It was too funny. Anyway our kid is happily wearing them at school and so are all of his friends. None of them are gay and the pants are all the rage.

No, I just read last week in NY Times this look is trendy with 20- and 30-something finance and tech guys. It's a faux modest thing. Earth tones, slim cut casual leisure clothes, trainers or neutral plain shoes. I assume it began in LA and SF. All the startups kids dress like this, e.g. snapchat billionaire Evan Spiegel.

It's fine to point out the outliers but look at the trim, fit, wives of Bethesda and McLean and North Arlington and Chevy Chase and then look at who they're married to. The husband's looks will be irrelevant. His job is very relevant. Even if the wife is successful in her own right the husband will be, too.

There's no denying and it's backed up by huge amounts of research that women are attracted to things like success and its manifestation via money and wealth. The alpha dog. Looks are further down the totem pole. Some self-righteous person will surely come along and protest all she wants but it doesn't change anything.
