Maybe, yes ,but the acting hasn't improved and neither has the storywriting. I read somewhere recently that one of the reasons British shows have become more popular (e.g. so many of the posts on here reference British shows) is that the acting and writing continues to be good, whereas Hollywood is really only about looks. Someone like Olivia Colman probably wouldn't have stood a chance in Hollywood before her Academy Award.
