Listen to her recording with her mom. OMG.

That girl is not sane. The poor mother.
"I'm not delusional. They ruled out delusional." Oy vey!
this isn't her website - this is the cult leader trying to defame her. He likely has these kind of materials on all the kids. Cruel

Do you think that this particular group of kids was slightly unstable before Larry even came into the picture (obviously Talia was, given her upbringing)? He realized they were kind of a bunch of unstable or mentally ill kids to begin with and he latched on. He’s clearly mentally ill himself.
When I think back on myself at that age and in college, I really don’t think I would have called for this shit. I would have recognized immediately that this older man is off, based simply on two facts: 1) he was just released from jail and 2) he had nowhere else to go or to be other than with a group of college co-eds. Those two facts alone would have alerted me and I would have backed myself out of that situation so fast.
Yes, the article mentioned that the kids were all fairly unstable or vulnerable prior to meeting Larry. A quote from the article says that "Larry would sometimes tell the kids they had come together in part because of a shared obsession with taking their own lives." No sure if this is actually true or if it was something he was telling them, but at least one of them had tried to commit suicide in high school.

Seriously. A grown man (a parent no less) MOVES IN to a dorm -- nobody says anything? There are not security guards, RAs, resident deans or anything? Or other students did not complain?
It wasn't a dorm. It was off campus housing. The landlord went to court to get this guy evicted eventually.
