It is the same anti-GDS poster who starts all these posts. They also masquerade as an obnoxious GDS parent who claims all GDS kids go to Harvard. As a GDS parent with kids at another big-3 school that is much more conservative, I see the pros and cons of both the schools. GDS is a good school with good college admissions just like Sidwell and NCS. It has been highly regarded for decades, as have the other schools. I used to ignore the troll but now I feel compelled to point out that this GDS hater is persistent and virulent in a way that I seriously believe is related to the school's diversity - yes lots of AA's and Jews. You realize that Sidwell, STA, and NCS all refused to accept Jewish students (and African American students, for that matter--but not the children of high-ranking African and ME diplomats, from what I understand) for years after GDS was founded? I fail to understand how such schools defended their discrimination against children based upon religion and/or race and still proudly identified as Christian/Quaker?

Yes, those policies have changed, but as were are discussing the historical trends of these schools, please don't forget the ugly past in which these schools were actively complicit.
