PH used to be Langley. I think they changed in the 70's?
Yes (late 70s), and other parts of Langley moved to McLean in the mid-80s. But there were also parts of Great Falls that moved to Langley from Herndon.

I don't think people zoned for Chesterbrook, Kent Gardens, or Haycock will be redistricted. Those schools are 100% feeders to Longfellow/McLean.
There are three primary options for redistricting, each with its own pros and cons.
1) The 85-90% of Franklin Sherman that is currently zoned for McLean, rather than Langley (in McLean).
2) The 20-30% of Colvin Run and Spring Hill that are currently zoned for McLean, rather than Langley (in Vienna and Tysons).
3) The 20-30% of Spring Hill and Westgate in Tysons that currently zoned for McLean (rather than Langley, in the case of Spring Hill, or Marshall, in the case of Westgate).
Students already at Longfellow or McLean almost surely would be grandfathered, if past practices hold. The goal presumably would be to bring the entering classes at McLean down from around 600 kids to closer to 525, so that both Langley and McLean end up with about 2100 kids, rather than have 2400 kids at McLean and 1800 at Langley.

Agreed. The McLean attendance islands along Route 7 west of Tysons should be the most obvious to move to Langley.
On a side note, I am a Shrevewood parent and am thrilled to see that a boundary review and adjustment FINALLY made it into the CIP. We've been bursting at the seams for the past few years, and the current sixth grade is the last of the "smaller" class sizes.
No, those can go to Madison, Langley needs to pick up some of Tysons both from McLean and Marshall. That is going to explode in 10 years.
They can pick up more when the planned new Western HS is built and it or Herndon can take the western portion of Langley’s current footprint.

I hope it would be Tyson’s and/or Franklin Sherman between Rt123 and Old Dominion. However, she has been always fought against change for Franklin Sherman, so it may not even be a consideration on her part.
Why? How about the parents in that area? Do they want to change?
