Subject: Weigh in on this: would you try one dose of morphine?
I had a lot of fun in college and experimented with pot, cocaine and hallucinogenics. (Verdict: meh, NOPE, awesome.) I was careful not to try things that seemed like they would be too addictive or damaging like meth or heroin.
I stay the hell away from opiates. I worry that I might like the feeling of being numb, and would want to pursue that feeling all the time. I'm a 46-year-old mom with a full-time job, an aging body and too many responsibilities. "Numb" sounds amazing.

Morphine and other narcotics make me feel like absolute CRAP.
Now, the propofol nap I had during a colonoscopy? I could do that daily.
I just need a anesthesiologist who makes house calls.

Had morphine 2 times after each C-section, I didn't like it. Both times it took other drugs "pushed" in the recovery room before I could go to the floor. Also I had really bad itching all over my face both times and the second time I asked to come off of it. I don't see how morphine can be a gateway drug but everyone is different

Agree about Dilaudid. That shiz is HEAVENLY. When I was in full blown kidney colic trying to pass a stone and having contractions too they gave me some. I legit almost kissed the nurse. It was like my veins were flowing with honey when seconds before I had been crying for my mother.
