Georgia Ave has weekly hit and runs of cars, cyclists and pedestrians. So sick of it. When is MD, DC, and VA going to mandate written and behind the wheel tests for converting any international license to a U.S. state one. Such different standards. Dangerous.
Not to mention half the people don't believe in insurance. Why pay each month if no accident, no make sense!

I was at the County Executive candidates’ forum tonight and Ficker blamed those kids for getting hit.
What a guy.
Don’t be dishonest. That’s not what he said.
What did he say, according to you?
What did the other candidates say?
Florence and Elrich brought up the issues that are addressed in the Council letter above. Ficker, after having to be reminded of what the question was, blamed pedestrians for getting hit and said that he was really familiar with this issue because he represents so many drivers who hit pedestrians.

Nearly a week after four high school students were hurt when a car crashed into them at a bus stop, a 15-year-old boy is still fighting for his life.
Devin Garcia is still in a D.C. hospital after the crash Tuesday, Oct. 9.
"It just breaks my heart," his mother, Lilia Garcia, said Monday.
Devin Garcia has a brain injury, internal bleeding and broken bones.

I think that is because that area is notorious for student jaywalkers. That’s the reason they put the fence up there but it still doesn’t contain the problem.
