Nauck resident here (who posted about the neighborhood previously). Of course it is a big deal that a shooting happened next to the school. Of course parents at the school can be worried. I live 5 houses away and was worried.
All that being said. Short of closing the school and moving it to a new location what can APS do. What do people want APS to do? Kids that happen to live in neighborhoods that are rougher than other neighborhoods deserve schools to.

I know exactly where the Berkeley is, but I don't know why this incident has anything to do with where to draw boundary lines. Would zoning the Berkeley to Drew make it more likely random adults in the neighborhood will shoot each other a couple of blocks away?

All of the shootings list in 19:45 on page one happened at night, like the Nottingham shooting. I'm totally fine dropped the Nottingham-area shooting out of the conversation if you're fine dropping those shootings from the discussion as well. That's the context in which the Nottingham shooting was raised, let's not pretend it was something else.
