Don't know about OP's DH, but I know a guy in his mid-40s who regularly drools over hot young women on Twitter and Instagram. He thinks he's being careful because he'll follow accounts with an overtly feminist bent, or women who tweet/post about sports a lot (while also having profile photos that are just, like, their butt in a thong) but there's a reason he chooses these accounts to follow and comment on as opposed to feminists and sports reporters (yes even female sports reporters) who aren't half naked all the time and talking about boobs and sex the other half. Not a slight on these women -- they know what they are doing and they should use whatever they want to gain followers and traction. But I find it gross that a married 40-something dude with a kid (a daughter!) is so publicly drooling after them.

I would also find it weird if a 40-something married woman with children was following and replying to lots of hot young men all the time. It's just... what are you doing? PP is right that if you have this much time for social media, you probably aren't particularly focused on work or your kids.

Yeah I don’t get this. I personally like that I see DH in a tight white t shirt making end tables and desks, as opposed to following women on social media for their sexualized photos. To each their own but it seems so weird that somebody would intentionally curate their social media feed to make sure the occasional arousing photo shoot pops up.

I do know a guy who has a shoe collection worth something like 10K and I suppose the accounts he follows would make me roll my eyes if I were his wife.

DP.. I've seen my DH turn his head when we are walking down the street, and he sees...... a car that he loves. Of course, he's human and a man, so I have no doubt that he "looks" at other women. But, he never makes it obvious in front of me. Now cars.... that's a different story.

Maybe it’s the age difference, plus the fact that as an older married guy it’s a different thing to be looking at all kinds of women than as a younger single one?

OP, I'm with you - but remember, the community tends to know who the sleazy husbands are - they might try to blame the wife, but they know. Chances are, the other husbands are stepping out, if the wives are receptive to your DH's flirting, etc. it only makes them and your DH look sad. They will never know your entire story, and what BS you have to live with, and how you really handle it. Find your own fun.
