Since there is so much concern here, this might be a better place to share all of your concerns:
The Annual CYA General Membership Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at the Bennett Road Shed in Oakton. One of the primary functions of the General Membership Meeting is to elect members to sit on the CYA Board of Directors. The CYA Board of Directors is comprised of 11 total members. This year, 5 positions are up for election: Vice President, Treasurer and 3 “at large” positions. Nominations are currently being accepted via the link at the bottom of this email. The deadline to register as a candidate is 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 25th. The final ballot will be posted on the CYA Website on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018.

LOL too funny. That's the first link link that comes up if you google "cya 03g dan."
I'm sure Mr. Detached will let us know why it it wrong because VYSA is not a credible source.

It doesn't say anything about his ability to coach though, or his style. Again, why rant against US Soccer and pursue a UEFA license (no matter from where). I don't think he's being insincere in that. I think you are confusing incompetence in handling business with general incompetence. Seems based on his past teams' performance he can't be all that bad at coaching, especially considering he didn't have the cream of the crop talent to work with at CYA.
His team last year, which played in the VPL, went 0-10, and had a -37 goal differential. He finished 12th out of 12 in the 03 girls group. Not sure if that says anything about his ability to coach, but it might...
I doubt it says much unless he'd coached them for years (which I don't think is true), the team was stocked with solid players, and this was the result. He has coached younger teams there that have done very well. Have you ever seen any of his teams play or are you just here to trash him?
I have watched his teams extensively over a number of years, so I know his quality as a coach very well. I've even had kids on one of his teams (a younger team) for a season, after which the parents demanded a new coach because it was a disaster. So, I know of what I speak.
So was it you who posted the 03 results, knowing that Dan coached the team previously? Very misleading, don't you think?
Dan who? No one named Dan ever coached that 03 team. Not sure who you're calling misleading, but whoever posted those 03 results did this board a service...
Who coached them previously then? Are you claiming he coached them since they were u-littles?

See, that's exactly the issue. I've been in this area for years and have multiple kids in travel, but still I see posts which someone new to the area would consider "good information" that are complete garbage.
The point being, you really need to take everything you read here with a grain of salt. The posts by Ranting Soccer Dad are the most trusted, in my opinion because he is accountable and his reputation is at stake. Everything posted under "anonymous" is done from behind the protection of a keyboard and screen veil, and there is no accountability. Lots of bad information on this forum, some good, and trying to figure out which is which is next to impossible without having experience with the given situations and knowing the "players."
