In college: accidentally ordered cow brains in France. That was memorable (!!), but also the French restaurant that surprised us with a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. We were so homesick, we cried.

Super fresh, simply prepared fish on an island in Croatia.

Vegan mushroom goulash in Czech Republic

Pecorino and truffle oil in Tuscany. I mean everything we ate in Italy was good but i just loved trying all the different pecorino dog various origins/ages. And I’ve never had truffle oil that good before.

I do feel sad for people who can only view life solely through the prism of racism. Just let people be and enjoy the world they want to.

If your foot wasn't so far up where the sun doesn't shine you'd notice that despite Europe being the subject of the thread a number of popular foodstuff mentioned have their origins in other parts of the world.....

Tea at Browns in London, tasting menu at L’Enclume, dinner at a small family restaurant in Tuscany. Also has really good Indian in England. And I love the shrimp salad sandwiches at Pret.

DH and I went to Amsterdam, got really high and got Wok to Go. Nothing special but I remember it being the best noodles I ever tasted. We still talk about it.
