If you really care about brown American children, then stop importing them from other countries.
We can't raise wages if people just leak through the borders.
Anonymous wrote:I as saddened as most about the separation of kids from parents. I hold AG Jeff Sessions most accountable. Fire Jeff Sessions. But to be fair, President Obama also separated kids.
Letting the children's moms, older sister(s), aunts in w the children immediately would ease off this onerous situation.
I've written everyone, all key players, or called today. Have you?

Seriously, don’t engage. If those that think like them are the majority, we have already lost. Work on getting people that share your sense of outrage on this shameful chapter to vote in November and again in 2020. Find charities and groups you can support to help those in need now. why do liberals all favor illegals over us citizens? There is seriously something very wrong with them—to turn your back on your fellow Americans and push illegals through the system? That’s some serious “compassion” right there.
This. We could do a lot to address the poverty and low wages of many of our existing citizens, if we didn't have a flow of undocumented workers willing to undercut them in the labor market.
I assume you are willing to pay the price, then? You understand that when wages rise for agricultural jobs, many of which are physically brutal and disgusting, that food costs rise, too? I am personally willing to pay the price for both my own family and in taxes to absorb the enormous impact this would have on our nation's poor (and particularly poor children), but are you?

It is now common knowledge that illegal immigration into the United States is being treated as the crime that it legally is. When an adult with a minor child commits a crime, they are detained. Part of that detention is that someone has to take care of their minor children.
Many minor children of detained people --US citizens included, end up in foster care. But while they are waiting for their foster parents, they are placed in group homes. The children's detention center is a very large group home.
So, as a parent, knowing that illegal immigration is no longer tolerated in the US and that you will be separated from your child, why do you as the adult still make the decision to commit the crime?
Because the situation they are fleeing is that bad. The Trump Administration hasn’t figured this out yet.
NP. You’re making this up. You don’t have evidence. Mexico, for example, is not a hell hole. Plenty of people live safe and happy lives there.
Perhaps you need to travel more?
You realize most of these people are not from Mexico, right? They happen to be currently in Mexico because it is the land mass south of the US, but they are fleeing from harrowing situations in other countries.

It's been a problem in the immigration policy area for awhile, although this situation is a little different in that the U.S. children were with other relatives and out in the community. Not a tent or a Walmart.
However, it just underscores that our values don't change just because there is a different president.
Our? You don't hold my values. My values are the rule of law and personal responsibility.

The difference between this White House and previous ones is that this one consistently expresses such outrageous language that the media is actively pursuing it on all fronts. They don't get a break, because they are shockingly vulgar loud-mouths and continually provoke people.
Anytime any administration does things quietly and on the side, it leads to potentially dangerous inertia on the media front. The EPA and other branches of government have quietly undone multiple protections set in place by the previous administration, which haven't had the front-page coverage they deserve because Trump occupies all the news.
We need to be vigilant.

That's about as anti-American a sentiment as I can think of. Way to go!
Sorry you don't love what made this country great. Immigrants. Most of them poor. True fact.
Or, sure. But they did not milk the system like modern days illegal immigrants - no food stamps, no free medical care, no free housing, no special accommodations for their school age kids. This people worked their arces off to make it.
And they made America great.
Libs are fighting for the modern day slaves (nothing new for Dem party) and for their voting base. They took side with foreigners against their fellow citizens. That's why Trump will remain in the office till 2024. And who knows, may be the next president will also be a Rep.
You are a sad person. First of all, illegal immigrants do not get any of the federal services you list. Second, even if they did, it would be a drop of the bucket expense as compared to our federal debt and deficit or the cost of just one of the missles Trump launched into Syria for no reason, or even one weekend of his golfing.
We are supposed to be a humane people and the moral leaders of the world.
You are a callous and sick person whose "facts" are all wrong.
