Wow. I am sure ICU etc cannot be faked. And after the outpouring fir Kate and Anthony, let's show some compassion here. She IS alive. Perhaps Kate's and Anthony's were as spur of the moment Begin with compassion, it might help others come out of the shadows and the painful stigma attached to mental illness may lessen. I hope she is getting much needed therapy as she works through this. Peace.

I've read about and heard plenty of horror stories - people faking cancer for years, sometimes very elaborately (or worse, the Mauchausen's by proxy people who poison their own kids for sympathy for themselves) for money/attention, faking pregnancies, faking miscarriages. This lady rings plenty of warning bells for weird and possibly fake/exaggerated. I don't save my skepticism for people like this blogger.

no i never called her vile or an attention whore. just something seems off. i hope she's really alright.

I read and her blog and I don't think she's alright. I secretly hope she stops blogging for a few months so she can focus on herself.

This reminds me of that former Mommy Blogger Melissa Summers (Suburban Bliss) who tried to commit suicide.

I often wonder about former mommy bloggers... like Chris Jordan (Notes from the Trenches) and Sarah Matheny (Peas & Thank You).

She's a mommy blogger, not a writer about mental illness. (And the things that adults with autism have to say about their mothers who mommy blogged are seldom kind.)

or exaggerating. i know plenty of people who exaggerate every life experience. who knows.

I am quite certain she isn't faking. That's not what she does. If she had grand claims about her life or her family, then I'd be as skeptical as anyone, but her posts are pretty boring and normal in the scheme of things. She also hasn't posted in a week and a half which is very unusual.

Agree. Her tone may well be cause for concern.
