What racism? Surely you're not going to dig out that Charlotteville example again, comprising 1/100,000 of 1% of the popualtion? (Less, even.) The fact of the matter is that if racism were as prevalent as you claim, Obama wouldn't have won. (My vote: 2008/Obama, 2012/Romney, 2016/Trump.)
Obama was a bland President. In my opinion the only way to explain the over the top HATRED of him is racism. W was hated because he got a bunch of troops killed. No other President since like, Nixon/LBJ have been as LOATHED as Obama. It just doesn't make sense.
The types of things he did, overreach etc, those happened in prior presidencies.
The only other thing I can think of is that Obama was elected kind of in line with the dawn of the 24/7 news cycle and mainstream of the internet.
But it just doesn't make sense, on paper he is not an extraordinary President for anything OTHER than being black.
Think harder.
Condescending even to people in his party.
- lots of presidents were dicks, and I don't think he really was one but still
Couldn't get a thing done even when his party ran Congress -- for example immigration.
Attended for decades a church with an America-hating reverend.
A riot a month.
Syrian, Lybia and Israel debacles.
Oops, Crimea and Ukraine debacles too.
Slowest recovery in recorded history.
Doubled US public debt.

- Um healthcare?
Attended for decades a church with an America-hating reverend.
No President had an unblemished set of past acquaintances. If anything the focus on who the pastor was at a church he attended speaks to my point of the bizarre level of hatred and scrutiny he faced
A riot a month.
It wasn't a riot a month, it was periods of turmoil associated with specific events IE Ferguson. Do you not count the LA Race Riots or Kent State as similar type events? The fact that these are blamed on him again, speaks to a weird double standard
Syrian, Lybia and Israel debacles.
Every President in modern history has had a debacle in the middle east. Trump has ALREADY kind of had a couple (Niger, Isreal, Syria). And oh hey you forgot Benghazi!
Oops, Crimea and Ukraine debacles too.
You're really going to go to Russia to act like Obama stands alone? PS: no President during the ACTUAL COLD WAR was as hated as Obama
Slowest recovery in recorded history.
???? The recession was W's fault, they managed to keep it a recession instead of a depression. He took over in the midst of the crisis and when he turned over the reigns unemployment was rock bottom. In another point in favor of 'weird unexplained bias that of course couldn't be racism' conservatives like to say that Obama's numbers were over inflated because people dropped out of the workforce after giving up but apparently, when Trump took over all of those people flooded back in AND the numbers stayed low so its really all because of him. Which is an insane set of mental gymnastics designed to hate Obama and love Trump.
Doubled US public debt.
Basically ever President, current one is blowing the budget way worse than Obama. Basically the only President who doesn't have this black mark in recent history is a Clinton, the family of the devil.
You must live in lalaland.
I'm not saying Obama was perfect, I'm saying he has been judged far more harshly than his peers. Which is true.

What mess? He is unconventional but we have an economy that is humming along after years of being in the doldrums, many more Americans feel we are on the right track, he is implementing or trying to implement his campaign promises, judicial appointments are the conservatives he promised, he is trying to work out a deal with NK, he told Iran to go fly a kite, he is actually pushing for better trade deals and making some progress ........ and above all, he is driving liberals to become total loonies as evidenced by the posts on this forum!
Bonus: he made sure that Hillary - an utter incompetent - did not gain the presidency.
Delusional deplorables.![]()
I wasn't the PP you're addressing, but your continuing to call people delusional deplorables exemplifies the very attitude that caused you to lose the election.
If you demonstrate that you’re a delusional deplorable, I’ll call you a delusional deplorable. Deplorables will vote like a deplorable no matter what. It’s ridiculous to suggest otherwise.
Actually, that's not true. There are some moderates who vote either way - even voting split ticket - who are leaving the party due to the hate liberals like you are spewing. In a tight election, the type of nastiness you're displaying may end up costing you the election. So go ahead and keep doubling down on your.....say, what's the word I'm looking for,,,,oh, yeah....DEPLOROABLE name-calling, and lose again.
If they choose to vote for a corrupt a-hole like Trump just because of some anonymous comments on DCUM then they were deplorable all along.
Anonymous wrote:There has been speculation that it was after the White House Correspondent's dinner that Trump may have finally decided to run for president. During that dinner, Obama mocked Trump mercilessly even as Trump sat there and had to listen to it.
We know that Trump is thin-skinned and what Obama did to him must have been humiliating. But if the speculation has any basis - and, yes, Trump has flirted with running for decades - it would be the ultimate irony that a bunch of jokes about Trump by Obama was the catalyst for Trump seeking the presidency and ultimately winning the election .......... and in the process undoing much of what Obama thought would be his legacy.

Who's this "you" you are talking about? You seem to think that most Republicans wanted him. To the contrary, the majority of all Republican voters picked someone other than Trump as the nominee.
And then you gave him your vote in the general. He is all yours.
Two different decisions. The first was which Reoublican in the field did I want, and my LAST choice was Trump. The second was between Trump and Hillary - an entirely different decision - and as bad as he was, he was still the better choice: SUPREME COURT.
And as far as him being "all mine," he's done some good things. Where we would have been under HRH Hillary at this point is an unknown, but gathering from how she's conducted herself since she lost, she is even worse than I thought.
Like I said. He’s all yours.
