The biggest name on their list last played for them in 7th grade. That is pretty pathetic. If Madlax, BW and VLC had lists of kids who committed but not while playing for them, their lists would be twice as long.
Cavalier charges as much as the top clubs, but the results on the field are terrible.
Cavalier charges far less than Madlax and 3d (not sure they exist anymore) and about the same as VLC and Evergreen not sure about BW. EKLC and Battlelax are far less TC a little less. Cav is still the top two choice in NOVA for many kids. If your son plays a position that is filled at a program like VLC Cav's is a good option. It is better to have the kids play. Most Cav's teams have a winning record or have stepped up in the last few years to better tournaments and still are winning over 50%.

I had to go see for myself. Every D1 commit listed in the 2019 class save for the coach's son plays for a different club and has for years - Blackwolf and VLC. At least it says current and former players.
How do you even know this? Why do you care enough to find out?
How do I know this? My son knows and has played with several of them on the same club. Do I care enough to do a quick google search to confirm what some previous poster said? Sure, it takes 10 seconds.
But more importantly, I don't like clubs being disingenuous to parents who pay good money to have their child play for them. I would do the same for any other club. It's just poor practice.

Most of the top middle school players on Cavs will leave and go to either VLC or Blackwolf. End of story. It's been happening for years, and unless things drastically change that trend will continue.
The level of tournaments and exposure Cavs HS teams get vs. the competition are on different levels. Winning trophies at Shore Wars is not the same as winning at Crabfeast or Big4. You're talking B level teams vs. the best teams in the country. College coaches flock to the tournaments that have the talent. If your son wants to play at that level, obviously you need to be on those teams that compete at those events. Cavs neither participates and/or gets invited to play.
Cavs run a good program and are fantastic for the sport and growth of the game in LoCo. Don't confuse that with elite level lacrosse.
Agreed, Cav's has it's niche just like VLC and BW, but contrary to your opinion VLC and BW are NOT Elite level programs.
Winning Crabfeast or Big4!!! BW couldn't even get an invite and VLC gets their drawers blown off in the losers bracket.
Up next...battle of the super cars....Toyota Camry vs. Ford Fusion or is it Hyundai Sonata??
Hi, Cabell
