The "fix" is to just move into one of the school districts that have them if it is that much of a priority.

Don't know what numbers they are at, but things usually move along the first few weeks of school when they find that people have moved, some on waitlist who are chosen stick with their home school, etc.

They come to the local elementary schools to pick up and drop off.

The curriculum for immersion is identical to non-immersion, so I think it's safe to assume that things are pretty equivalent (including Chromebook usage), although this also might depend a lot on the teacher. We are in immersion, and while I occasionally hear about Chromebooks being used, it does not seem to be an inappropriate amount IMO.

DS will start kindergarten in 2019 and I’m thinking of applying for one of the immersion programs. Do the kids use the Chromebooks as much in the immersion programs?

What is SES?
