I take mine off a lot in the winter because my hands get so dry and I like to lotion them frequently, but I'm don't want to get them dirty.

1c cushion cut bezel set with another 1/2c in stones for halo and milgrain.

Mine is an ascher cut 1.25 carat diamond with pave diamonds around the white gold band. I have a matching wedding and anniversary band with pave diamonds. The ring was from Blue Nile and cost about $5,500 including the wedding band. The white gold now looks more yellow gold after a run-in with sunless tanning lotion....I'm too lazy to get it replated...one of these days. Honestly no one would know if I wore a good fake....if I could go back in time I might have just told my DH to get me a nice fake ring.

Had it designed at a diamond broker a number of years ago emerald and diamond. 2K and I wear it everyday, no problems.

An emerald cut diamond, I think about half carat or a carat (I remember this stuff really mattering to me back then!) in white gold. We got engaged at 20 and I really wanted platinum but we didn’t have the money. Got a platinum guy instead, so that's better.

I never wear mine because it was a pearl ring. The pearl fell out twice. The jeweler told me the second time that pearls are not meant for daily wear.

I lived here for grad school at that time and no way you could rent for $700!! So I'm assuming you mean somewhere else...

I lived in DC at that time too and paid 850 - not too far off.

An Art Deco ring from Etsy with a few teeny tiny diamonds. $200. I didn’t want anything traditional, but husband wanted traditional diamonds, so it worked for us. I had given him a bunch of ideas (including this art deco style, but also pearl rings or other stones or designs). I love it!

I take mine off to go to the gym, and then don’t end up wearing it on Saturday and Sunday if I run errands after the gym. I also don’t wear in the house. It’s set high and I bump it on things and almost lost the center diamond that way.
